Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak is once again first in line for the new iPad, but this time at a different location than usual.
Shira Lazar of What’s Trending reports that Wozniak and his wife are waiting in line for the iPad at Westfield Mall in Century City, Los Angeles.
“My wife was actually the first in line, I’m the second. We came about noon. We’re used to Northern California stores, where the lines start that early. I have a keynote speech coming up (in LA) this morning, right after I get the iPad,” explains Wozniak.
Woz is well known for waiting in lines for Apple products, although as a co-founder and one of the most important people in Apple’s history, he could probably get them without having to wait in lines.
For Woz, however, waiting in line and experiencing a new gadget for the first time, surrounded by fellow Apple enthusiasts, is part of the fun.
“It’s become a ritual. Because I’ve done it so many times, I’m doing it again,” says Wozniak. “I wanna be one of the real people, who line up and wait all night…Apple’s just that important to us.”

good for sticking with Apple
Steve- Tell me whats up and PLEASE give me your opinion of
the new Dell Streak versus the IPAD. Give me your
professional advice I want to purchase either of the two.
Hold on.It sounded like you were describing a full-sized pad
(whateverfull-sized is) with a removable phone. But this Streak is
just a largesmart phone at no better price than an iPhone.
Duh. Sorry, I bought a Droid X to replace my Incredible in the
Androidworld. The Droid X has a large screen and HDMI out and looks
nicer andyou aren't stuck with the Dell name and
reputation.You should trade your Streak in. At least when I traded in
myused Incredible for the new Droid X, Verizon didn't charge me
anythingbut a $35 restocking fee. And because my name was Wozniak,
they gaveme all the accessories (car kit, HDMI cables) at half price.
I'd liketo see Dell do that. I'll ask Michael sometime. He's an
investor inour company, Fusion-io.
